Spilling Ink

Hi Everyone,

I've been at this for a few months now and I'm really enjoying it. It's a chance for me to indulge in some creativity, learn some history, sharpen some skills, and explore some family history.

I come from Canada's East Coast. My Dad was a navy man, so of course I grew up with his navy buddies as well. What I remember about most of them was the tattoos. Old school tattoos, American Traditional style. It being a different time, sailors were just about the only people you would see with any kind of tattoo. And I don't think anyone really cared much about it. If you saw a sailor walking down the street in the summer and he had no ink, he was probably just new and it wouldn't be long until he had something on his hand or forearm.

I've thought about getting an appropriate piece since I was about 12 years. I got my first one, an anchor on my right hand, like my Dad, four years ago. Yah don't wanna rush into these things, yah know.
